Bay High School Rockets Golf Secures 3rd Place at Middie Classic
The Bay High School Rockets Golf team clinched an impressive third place finish at the Middie Classic held on August 11, 2025, at the scenic Brentwood Golf Course. Competing against a field of twelve local teams, the Rockets showcased a strong performance in the 18-hole stroke play tournament, ending the event with a team score of 339.
Sunny skies and light winds in the low 80s provided ideal golfing conditions, allowing players to display their skills. The team was led by standout performances from Aiden Carey, who shot an 80, and Will Schrock with an 84. Jack Wunder contributed an 86, while Blake Roplelewski, Sam Vardon, and Deloy Johnson each carded a 93, rounding out the team's solid scoring.
A pivotal moment in the tournament came as the Rockets adjusted and avoided high scores. According to the coach, the team is "settling-in and letting their talent take over," a sentiment echoed by Aiden Carey. Carey mentioned, "It was fun competing against a strong field. Our team played well today," reflecting the competitive spirit that earned the Rockets third place.
