Bay High School Rockets Narrowly Fall to Lakewood in Valentine's Day Basketball Clash

In a spirited varsity basketball clash on Valentine's Day, the Bay High School Rockets faced a tough defeat, falling 55-66 against the Lakewood Rangers. The face-off took place on home turf, maintaining a charged atmosphere throughout the evening.

The game kicked off intensely with both teams neck and neck, leading to a halftime deadlock at 23 points each. Key performances came from Ryan Miller and Collin Melvin of Bay High, who scored 18 and 17 points respectively. Despite their efforts, the Rockets couldn't maintain their momentum against the Rangers' advances in the second half.

Held on February 14, 2025, the game marks a continuation of the season for the Rockets, who now hold a record of 11-11, with a 6-8 standing in the Cleveland West Conference. Looking ahead, the Rockets are set to regroup and face Benedictine in their next regular season game scheduled for February 21, 2025, once again on their home court at Bay High School.
