Bay High School Rockets Secure a Clean Sweep over Lake Ridge Academy in Varsity Girls Tennis
In a remarkable display of skill and coordination, the Bay High School Rockets varsity girls tennis team clinched an unequivocal victory against Lake Ridge on August 14, 2025. Hosting the match at their home courts, the Rockets showcased their prowess, winning all 5-0. At 1st Singles Julia Mavis dominated with scores of 6-1, 6-1. Elle Schelzig mirrored Mavis' success in the 2nd Singles, also winning 6-1, 6-1 and demonstrating tactical excellence throughout her game. At 3rd Singles, Lauren Barrett also won 6-0, 6-1. The doubles team was no less formidable. The 1st Doubles duo, Savannah Keberdle and Alice Jones, executed a seamless match, shutting out their opponents 6-0, 6-0. This was complemented by an effortless win in the 2nd Doubles, which Bay won by default, further solidifying their overwhelming presence in the tournament. All players from the Rockets were recognized as being on top of their game, contributing to a flawless team performance that ended with a decisive 5-0 victory against Lake Ridge. This match not only emphasizes the Rockets' skill but also their strategic preparation and team cohesion leading up to each match.
