Bay High School Rockets Soar Past Clearview Clippers in Outstanding Performance
In a stellar showdown at their home court on December 27, 2024, Bay High School's varsity basketball team, the Rockets, decisively defeated the Clearview Clippers with a final score of 76-47 in their regular season face-off.
From the get-go, the Rockets showed determination but encountered some early challenges. As senior Caleb Rinehart pointed out, the team "started the game a little flat." However, the tide turned significantly after an inspiring boost from one of the assistant coaches. Rinehart added, "when we picked our energy up... that lit a fire and we took care of business the rest of the way." True to his words, the Rockets dominated the second half, particularly with an overwhelming 26-8 run in the fourth quarter that sealed their victory.
Top performers for the Rockets were Ryan Miller, who scored an impressive 21 points, and Max Cockburn, adding another 15 points to the scoreboard. Their efforts were pivotal in Bay High School maintaining control throughout the game.
Bay High School's home crowd witnessed their team improving their season record to 6-3, with a conference record of 3-1 in the CWC. The Rockets are preparing to host Cuyahoga Heights on December 28, 2024, aiming to continue their winning momentum.
