Bay High School Varsity Girls Golf Secures 8th at D1 Sectional Tournament
Bay High School's Varsity Girls Golf team demonstrated commendable skill and determination at the D1 Sectional Tournament held at Big Met Golf Course on September 30, 2024, securing an 8th place finish among 18 competitive schools with a score of 402.
Megan Maybaum notably shot her season low of 92, narrowly missing qualification for the District Tournament by just one stroke. Similarly, Charlotte Fox showcased her prowess with a score of 93, only two strokes short of advancing. Additional noteworthy performances came from Maddie Bigler who scored 103, Annabel Sjoberg with 114, and Cannon Conley who registered a score of 118.
"Placing 8th against 17 other very competitive D1 teams was such an accomplishment! I am very proud of the work these girls put in this season. We will end our season with a record of 13-6 for matches," remarked the team's coach, underscoring the effort and achievements of the team throughout the season. The commitment and resilience displayed by Bay's golfers marks a season of significant growth and competitive spirit.
