Bay Races Past Valley Forge 7-0 Behind Three-Goal Opening Burst
PARMA, Ohio - Bay scored three goals in the opening five minutes Wednesday and rolled to a 7-0 victory over Valley Forge. The early burst proved decisive as the Rockets established a commanding advantage almost immediately and continued adding to it in clear skies and 92-degree heat.
Junior Issi Bruno led Bay’s attack with two goals and an assist, contributing directly to three of the Rockets’ seven goals. Bruno’s finishing helped turn the fast start into a comfortable lead, while the assist added another dimension to a productive individual performance.
Madelyn Lee, Alex Linsenmeyer, Lily Kazma, Meg Webster and Anna Weingart also scored one goal apiece for the Rockets. Their contributions gave Bay multiple finishers in an attack that capitalized quickly against Valley Forge and maintained its production after the three-goal opening stretch. The Rockets finished with seven goals from at least three different scorers.
Bay matched its offensive performance with a shutout at the other end. The Rockets prevented Valley Forge from cutting into the lead and completed the clean sheet while playing with a wide margin for most of the match. The combination of early scoring, Bruno’s three goal contributions and a scoreless defensive effort produced the decisive result.
The Rockets return home to face Westlake HS at 5 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026. That match will give Bay an opportunity to build on a seven-goal performance and another complete defensive outing.
