Bay Rockets Boys Basketball Falls to Rocky River Pirates in Varsity Showdown
On December 19, 2025, the Bay High School Rockets boys varsity basketball team faced a challenging game against the Rocky River Pirates at Rocky River High School. The matchup, part of their regular season schedule, concluded with the Rockets falling to the Pirates with a final score of 48-62. The Rockets strived to maintain their pace against Rocky River but found themselves trailing at halftime with a score of 24-31. Key players for the Rockets included Ryan Miller and Emmitt Naughton, both scoring 13 points each. Ethan George contributed significantly with 9 points, including back-to-back three-pointers in the second half that brought the Rockets within a three-point deficit. Additionally, Emmitt Naughton proved his mettle on the defense as well, tying with Ryan Miller as the top rebound leader with 5 rebounds each. Kelan Rose led the assists for the Rockets, handing out 4 crucial assists. The highlight of the game was the performance of sophomore Henry Schriner, who was named the Light the Fuse Player of the Game.
