Bay Rockets Boys Basketball Loses Tough Matchup Against Kenston
On December 2, 2025, the Bay Rockets Boys Varsity Basketball team faced off against the Kenston Bombers at Bay High School. Despite a valiant effort, the Rockets fell to the Bombers with a final score of 51-73. The Rockets started the game slowly, struggling with their shooting rhythm. By halftime, the score reflected the challenging start, standing at Bay 21, Kenston 41. The key players for the Rockets were Ryan Miller, who scored 15 points, Ethan George with 9 points, and Kelan Rose contributing 8 points. Freshman Jackson Hill also made a notable varsity debut, scoring his first points. Senior Jack Bly was our Light the Fuse Player of the Game with a standout defensive effort. He led the team in blocks, secured multiple rebounds, and shot a perfect field goal percentage. Despite the rough start, the second half saw the Rockets nearly matching the Bombers in points scored, demonstrating resilience and determination. Looking ahead, the Rockets, currently with a season record of 1-1, will travel to Buckeye High School on December 5, 2025, to face the Buckeye Bucks in their first Cleveland West Conference game of the season.
