Bay Rockets Boys Basketball's Second-Half Rally Falls Short in Loss to Buckeye
The Bay High School Rockets encountered a challenging match against the Buckeye Bucks on December 5, 2025, at Buckeye High School. The Rockets' 4th quarter rally saw them cut the Buckeye lead to 9 with 2:00 min to play and earn a trip to the charity stripe. Despite a resilient performance, the Rockets were unable to complete the comeback, ending the game with a loss, 71-57. There were many contributors for the Rockets included Kelan Rose with 16 points and 6 rebounds, Ethan George, who also managed 15 points and another 6 rebounds, and Emmitt Naughton who provided significant playmaking with his leading assists and also clocked in 14 points. Their efforts were highlighted by Naughton's leadership in steals alongside George, contributing defensively against the Bucks. Junior Ryan Miller stood out as the Light the Fuse Player of the Game for Bay High School, commended for his efficiency and game-high field goal percentage for the night. The Rockets are now 1-2 (0-1 CWC) and are looking ahead to their next game against Avon Lake, scheduled to be held at Bay High School on December 9, 2025.
