Bay Rockets Face Narrow Defeat Against Sandusky Perkins in a Thrilling Encounter

In a gripping varsity basketball encounter, the Bay Rockets fell to the Sandusky Perkins Pirates with a final score of 74-81 at Perkins High School on January 25, 2025. Despite leading at halftime with a score of 41-36, Bay could not maintain their momentum and ultimately conceded the game to Perkins.

Senior player Collin Melvin emerged as a standout for Bay, contributing significantly with 20 points and 11 rebounds, achieving a double-double. Ryan Miller and Caleb Rinehart were also pivotal, scoring 17 and 11 points, respectively. The game highlighted intense competition and demonstrated the Rockets' persevering spirit, though the night ended in favor of Perkins.

Looking forward, the Rockets are scheduled to face Rocky River at Rocky River High School on January 31. Bay currently holds a record of 10 wins and 8 losses, maintaining an even 5-5 in the Cleveland West Conference. With a week to regroup and focus, the Rockets hope to boost their conference record and climb higher in the standings.
