Bay High School Rockets secured a convincing win over the Firelands Falcons with a final score of 42-6. The game was at the Bay High School Memorial Field on September 5, 2025. The Rockets had an explosive offense and a staunch defense in this regular-season varsity football game. The game kicked off under partly cloudy skies with a cool evening setting the stage. The Rockets swiftly took control, building a formidable lead by halftime with the score at Bay 28, Firelands 0. Key plays in the first half included Rocco Ereditario and Charlie Rodgers, both scoring rushing touchdowns, and Michael Foreman catching two touchdowns from Patrick Cleary, setting a strong pace for the game. The second half saw continued dominance by Bay as Ethan George completed a receiving touchdown from one of Patrick Cleary's precise passes, contributing significantly to the team's scoring spree. Evan Taulbee's remarkable 51-yard touchdown run was among the highlights, further extending the lead. On the defensive end, Ethan Sedivec made crucial plays, including an interception and a significant 39-yard reception. Giffin Ruppe showcased his skills as a kicker, successfully completing all six extra point attempts. In his own words, Ruppe praised the team's effort, stating, 'We dominated them on defense, keeping them scoreless until under two minutes were left in the game, offense played well, Patrick was slinging it, and I went 6-6 on extra points.' Looking ahead, the Bay Rockets, now holding a record of 2-1, are set to face the Normandy Invaders on September 12, 2025, at Normandy. The team looks to carry forward their momentum and secure another victory in the coming week.
