Bay Rockets Girls Lacrosse Fall Short Against Olentangy Braves
In an intense regular season Lacrosse match at Bay Memorial Stadium, Bay High School Rockets clashed with Olentangy High School Braves on April 26, 2025. Despite a valiant effort, the Rockets fell to the Braves with a final score of 10-16. The first half was closely contested, ending with Bay trailing slightly at 4-5. Layla Meaux led Bay’s scoring efforts with 3 goals, followed closely by Gracie Fitchpatrick and Jill Tennant who each contributed 2 goals. Avery Schriner, Carlin Biondi, and Nolie Piktel each added a goal to round out the scoring. Biondi and Sydney Maybaum also dished out 2 assists each. Bay's defense had a challenging day, but goalie Sophia Crimaldi managed to keep the team in the game with 8 saves. Despite their best efforts, the Rockets could not bridge the gap as Olentangy pulled ahead in the second half. Looking forward, Bay High School is set to face Olmsted Falls at Bay Memorial Stadium on April 29, 2025, in what promises to be an exciting Senior Recognition Night. The Rockets, now with a record of 5-9, are eager to bounce back and deliver a strong performance in their upcoming contest.
