Bay Rockets Girls Soccer Clinches Victory in Regional Semifinal Match

In a thrilling come from behind victory during the Regional Semifinal on October 28, 2025, the Bay Rockets Girls' Varsity Soccer team clinched a win against Revere with a close score of 3-2. The match, which took place in Twinsburg, saw the Rockets overcoming a challenging start to ultimately secure victory. The first half of the game was fiercely competitive, with Revere initially seizing control by putting two goals on the scoreboard. However, the Rockets responded strongly, leveling the score to 2-2 by halftime. Key players for Bay included Aley Fetterman, scoring two goals, and Anna Weingart, who added another to the tally. Assists came from Lily Kazma, Madelyn Lee, and Dani Coffman, contributing significantly to the team's efforts. In the second half, the Rockets maintained their momentum, with Aley Fetterman scoring the game-winning goal, marking a memorable celebration of her 17th birthday. Coach praised the team's resilience and highlighted Fetterman's exceptional performance, saying, 'Revere came out with tremendous effort and energy which allowed them to get 2 quick goals. We responded well by getting 2 goals to tie the game at halftime. Aley's goal to win the game was an amazing effort and a great finish. This was a great team win.' Goalkeeping duties were split between Olivia Ruma in the first half and Riley Mitchell in the second, both providing crucial saves to keep the team in contention. The Rockets now advance to face Rocky River on November 1, 2025, in Streetsboro. With a current record of 14 wins, 3 losses, and 2 draws, the team looks forward to continuing their successful season.
