Bay Rockets Girls Soccer Soars to Victory in District Final Clash

The Bay High School Rockets Girls Varsity Soccer team clinched the District Championship with a resounding 5-0 victory against NDCL on October 15, 2025, at Perry High School. The victory marks a significant milestone in their playoffs journey, highlighted by a powerful first-half performance. The Rockets took an early lead and set the tone from the outset, ending the first half with a 4-0 advantage. Key players for Bay included Aley Fetterman, who scored twice, and Anna Weingart, Alex Linsenmeyer, and Ada Kurinski, who each added a goal to the tally. The offense was supported by a solid defense and strategic assists from Abigail Feiszli, Madelyn Lee, Linsenmeyer, Kendra Vidmar, and Meg Webster. Goalkeeping duties were adeptly managed by Olivia Ruma in the first half and Riley Mitchell in the second, both of whom maintained a clean sheet throughout the contest. Coach's comments reflected pride in the team's performance, 'The 1st half today may have been our best half this year. We moved the ball well and created many good scoring chances. Winning the District Championship is a great 1st step for our team.' Looking ahead, the Rockets are set to face Revere on October 28, 2025, at Twinsburg, carrying forward a strong record of 13-3-2 into the next round of the playoffs.
