The Bay Rockets JV Golf secured a victory in their varsity boys golf match against the Lakewood Rangers on September 16, 2025, at the Pinebrook Golf Course in Grafton, Ohio. Sunny weather with temperatures in the mid-70s and a breezy condition shaped the play, enhancing the match's competitive spirit. The 9-hole stroke play event concluded with the Rockets notching a score of 167, leading the Lakewood Rangers who tallied a score of 185. Aidan Carey starred for the Rockets, shooting a 38 with two significant birdies that influenced the match's outcome. Carey's first birdie on the 220-yard par three and another on the challenging 425-yard par 4, helped him maintain a strong lead. Jack Wunder also contributed notably despite a quadruple bogey, scoring a 41 with a series of pars that set a robust pace from the start. Blake Ropelewski and Sam Vardon also turned in solid performances, tying at 41 and scoring 47 respectively, with Ropelewski being recognized for his consistency in recent outings.
