Bay Rockets Secure a Convincing Win Over Normandy Invaders in Boys Varsity Tennis
In a thrilling display of tennis prowess, the Bay High School Boys Varsity Tennis team clinched a significant victory against Normandy Invaders on April 23, 2025, with a match score of 4-1. Hosted at Normandy High School, the Bay Rockets showcased their strength and strategic gameplay under the competitive pressure of the CWC tournament. Leading the way for the Rockets were standout singles players Leo Willhoite and Martin Hausler, who swept both sets at first and second singles respectively. Their performance was pivotal in setting the tone for the day. In the doubles matches, the duo of Grant Trefz and Lucas Harrod marked their first Varsity win at second doubles, an accomplishment that highlights their growing synergy and promise on the court. Additionally, Jacob Dwyer and Blaise Linsenmeyer contributed to the team's success with a straight-sets victory, bolstering the Rockets' overall score against the Invaders. With this win, the Rockets' season record now stands at an even 3-3. Looking ahead, Bay High School is set to host the next event against North Olmsted on April 28, 2025.
