Bay Rockets Varsity Girls Tennis Clinches 3rd at Conference Championship
On September 17, 2025, the Bay High School Girls Varsity Tennis team clinched an impressive 3rd place at the Conference Championship held at State Park, Parma. Competing against six other teams, the Rockets showed remarkable skill and determination throughout the event. Ella Schelzig and Izzy Frombach, representing the first doubles for Bay High, emerged as the Doubles Champions. Their exceptional performance highlighted the day, bringing pride and recognition to their school. In addition, the rest of the team all performed well in their respective brackets with all earning 3rd place finishes; Sophia Dodge/Zoe Norcross in second doubles, Julia Mavis in first singles, Lauren Bennett in second singles, and Savanna Keberdle in third singles. With a third place finish in the CWC Tournament and a fourth place finish in dual matches, the Girls Tennis team finished third in the CWC final standings. Looking ahead, the Rockets are set to face Brunswick at home in their next event on September 18, 2025. This next match promises to continue the exciting season for the Rockets as they build on their recent success.
