Bay Rockets Varsity Volleyball Secures a Strong Win Against Rocky River Pirates
In a dominant display of skills and teamwork, the Bay High School Rockets Girls Varsity Volleyball team clinched a significant victory against the Rocky River Pirates on September 11, 2025. The Regular season conference match, hosted at Bay High School, concluded with a sweeping score of Bay 3, Rocky River 0. The match kicked off with the Rockets setting a robust pace, ending the first set with a 25-18 win. The momentum was sustained in the second set where Bay overpowered Rocky River with a score of 25-17. The third set saw the Pirates putting up a stronger fight but ultimately, the Rockets secured the set at 25-23, making it a clean sweep in their favor. Notable performances included Amelia Vecchio, who earned a remarkable 16 service points. Payton Masterson contributed significantly with 10 service points, while teammates Olivia Miller and Nina Peet each added 6 points. Ella Hoerig, Olivia Stehlik, and Camille Costin collectively contributed to the win with a series of service points. With this victory, the Bay High School Rockets improved their current season record to 11-1. Looking ahead, the Rockets are preparing to face Gilmour Academy at Bay High School on September 15, 2025.
