In a challenging post-season District Semifinal on October 21, 2025, the Bay High School Rockets Varsity Girls' Volleyball team faced a tough defeat against the Avon Lake Shoreman, ending with a final score of Avon Lake 3, Bay 1. The match commenced at the home court of Bay High School, where the Rockets struggled in the first set, trailing behind with a score of 25-14. However, the Rockets bounced back in the second set, demonstrating resilience and competitive spirit by taking a 25-20 victory. The momentum continued to be intense as the third set ensued, with both teams battling closely. The set concluded narrowly in favor of Avon Lake at 27-25. In the fourth set, Avon Lake secured their win with a decisive 25-11 score, marking their dominance and ending the Rockets' journey in the district semi-final. Several players from Bay High School showcased commendable performances. Andy Naughton came through with a strong performance on both the offensive and defensive side. Olivia Miller led with 9 service points, followed by Fiona Walden and Payton Masterson who contributed 7 points each.
