Bay Rockets Volleyball Secures Victory Against Mayfield Wildcats
In a compelling regular season non-conference varsity girls volleyball event held at Bay High School on September 27, 2025, the Rockets triumphantly bagged a win against the Mayfield Wildcats. Wrapping up the face-off with a 3-1 victory, Bay High School marked its continued dominance in the sport. The match witnessed strong performances across four sets. Starting off strong, the Rockets captured the first set impressively with a score of 25-11, setting the tone for the evening. They continued their streak by narrowly clinching the second set, 25-22. However, Mayfield Wildcats turned the tables in the third set, eking out a win with a score of 25-23. Determined to seal their home court victory, the Rockets rallied back in the fourth set with a 25-20 win, solidifying their triumph. Key players including Olivia Miller, Nina Peet, and Payton Masterson showcased remarkable skills, contributing 11, 10, and 8 points respectively. Ella Hoerig stood out with her strategic plays, leading the team with 12 service points that played a significant role in the Rockets' victory.
