Bay Boys Golf Seniors Lead Rockets to 155-188 CWC Win Over North Olmsted

Bay High School’s seniors delivered the low scores and steady play Tuesday, leading the Rockets boys golf team to a decisive 155-188 victory over North Olmsted in a CWC dual match. Emmitt earned medalist honors with a 35, Matthew followed with a 37, Ryan shot 39 and Will completed Bay’s team total with a 44.

Emmitt Naughton set the pace with an impressive 35, while Emmitt played under control and consistently hit precise iron shots. One of the round’s defining moments came on the par-4 fourth hole, where Emmitt converted a 12-foot birdie putt to cap a strong start.

Matthew Mileti finished close behind with a 37, continuing a strong opening to the season. Matthew contributed another composed round, recording six pars and avoiding the costly mistakes that can quickly raise a team score. That consistency helped the Rockets build separation from the Eagles across the lineup.

Ryan Skryp added a solid 39 to Bay’s balanced performance. Ryan repeatedly put himself in favorable scoring positions with an accurate driver, creating opportunities to attack greens and keep his score down. The Rockets’ depth was crucial, with their four listed top scores separated by only nine strokes.

Will rounded out the winning lineup with a 44 and began his round with a par on the challenging 412-yard, par-4 fourth, a dogleg left that places a premium on positioning. His calm demeanor and positive approach remained an asset for Bay throughout the match. The leadership of Emmitt, Matthew, Ryan and Will helped Bay produce a confident, complete performance.

The 33-stroke victory gave Bay first place in the dual and highlighted the value of its experienced senior group. The Rockets will next travel to the Mustang Classic/Bunker Hill in Strongsville at noon EDT Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026.
