Bay Swimming & Diving Triumphs in Dual Meet Against Valley Forge
In a commanding performance on December 17, 2025, the Bay Rockets showcased their swimming and diving prowess in a dual meet against Valley Forge. Both the girls' and boys' teams from Bay emerged victorious with significant margin scores. The girls' team won with a score of 88-46, while the boys led with a 96-48 score. The girls' team had standout performances from several athletes. Lily Wavak, Moriah Murtha, Emery Ziemnik, and Ruby Redner all clinched victories in both of their individual events, significantly boosting the team's score. A notable performance by freshman Lydia Murtha, securing second place in both of her individual events, also contributed heavily to the team's success. Adding to the triumph, Jane Fanter placed third in the 50 freestyle, and the team excelled in relay events, winning the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relay. On the boys' side, Luke Filiatraut, Ollie Brown, and Liam Jager each claimed victories in their respective individual events. Freshman phenom Robert Abramov took first place in the 200 IM and second in the 400-meter freestyle, showcasing his versatility and potential. Junior Sam Farrar mirrored this success with a robust showing in the 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle. Contributions from Ilias Ghaffari and Jason Hartzell who both secured second places in their events further amplified the boys' team’s score. The boys' relay teams matched this high standard by finishing first in all three relay races. The Bay High School Rockets’ swimming and diving teams strengthened their positions as formidable contenders in the aquatic sports arena through this impressive dual meet win against Valley Forge.
