Bay Varsity Boys Golf Triumph in Senior Night Dual Match

Bay High School's Rockets Golf team celebrated their Senior Night with a striking victory in the 9-hole dual match against Avon Lake Shoreman on September 8, 2025, held at Sweetbriar Golf Course in Avon Lake, Ohio. The Rockets showcased formidable skill, achieving a season-low team score of 153, which underscored their dominant performance throughout the event. The match featured exceptional performances from multiple players. Senior Travis Ropelewski led the team with a score of 36, notching seven pars. Close behind, Trevor Ormsby scored 38, highlighted by back-to-back birdies on the 5th and 6th holes, setting a crucial tone early in the match. Other significant contributions came from Ben Wagner with a 39, and Blake Ropelewski and Emmit Naughton, both scoring 40. Senior Jack Wunder rounded out the team's scoring with a 42 in this pivotal match. Coach's remarks after the match resonated with pride and sentiment. 'I am so happy for the seniors. They played outstanding contributing to a season low 153 team score. These fellas have played instrumental roles in the BHS golf program,' said the coach, reflecting on the seniors' impact over their high school careers.
