Bay Varsity Girls Tennis Claims Victory Against Normandy
In an impressive display of skill, the Bay High School Rockets Girls Varsity Tennis team secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Normandy on September 3, 2025. The match, held away from home, showcased the Rockets' formidable prowess across both singles and doubles competitions. The singles matches were a highlight, with Bay players Savannah Keberdle, Sofia Dodge, and Kathleen Lang dominating their opponents. They collectively dropped only a total of six games, winning their matches in straight sets, which underscored their superior play and strategic acumen. In the doubles arena, the Rockets continued their winning streak, with teams composed of Ella Schelzig, Izzy Frombach, Lauren Barrett, and Zoe Norcross. They also won in straight sets, surrendering just three games throughout the doubles matches. Their coordinated play and excellent court coverage left little room for Normandy to maneuver. The smooth coordination and individual talents displayed at Normandy mark them as a team to watch as the season progresses.
