Avon Lake, Ohio - Bay High School’s Rockets combined a 149 team score with three rounds of 38 or better to defeat Keystone 149-177 on Tuesday at Sweetbriar Golf Club. Ryan Skryp and Matthew Mileti led the Rockets with matching 36s, while Emmitt Naughton followed with a 38 in the convincing 28-stroke victory.

The Rockets ignited their way past Keystone, posting a convincing 149–177 victory at Sweetbriar Golf Club.

With Sweetbriar in excellent condition, the course offered a true test. The fairways were running firm, while the greens were noticeably quicker than normal. From the opening tee shot, however, the Rockets played with confidence, focus, and purpose.

The tone was set immediately as the first four Rockets all carded pars on the challenging par-4 opening hole. The momentum continued on the second hole when senior Ryan Skryp drained a birdie on the par-3 2nd. Ryan stayed hot, adding another birdie on the par-4 4th and finishing with a career-low 36.

Not to be outdone, Matthew Mileti continued his outstanding season with a crisp 36, highlighted by a birdie on the par-5 5th. Matthew's steady play once again provided a spark for the Rockets.

Emmitt Naughton continued to make his presence felt, posting a 38, while fellow senior and birthday boy Will Schrock delivered a season-best 40. Will closed his round in style, recording three consecutive pars to finish strong.

It was an especially memorable week for the Rockets' seniors, as Ryan, Matthew, and Will all celebrated their 18th birthdays. The celebration continued on the course as Blake Ropelewski and Aidan Cary both contributed solid 39s.

With strong scoring throughout the lineup, the Rockets left Sweetbriar with a dominant victory and plenty of momentum.

It was another great day to be a Rocket!.
