Rockets Beat Columbia 212-232 as Caroline Kousaie Shoots Season-Low 44

NIck Pacholski | Bay High School | Aug 31, 2026

Avon Lake, Ohio - Caroline Kousaie shot a season-low 44 to lead Bay High School to a 212-232 home victory over Columbia on Thursday, Aug. 27. The 20-stroke win brought the Rockets back to .500 with a 4-4 record in dual matches this season.

Caroline Kousaie delivered the lowest round among Bay's four counting scores and gave the Rockets a strong foundation for their team total.

Ella Taulbee followed with a 54, while Katherine Bowler added a 55. Samantha Fry completed the Rockets' scoring with a 59. The four rounds combined for Bay's winning total of 212.

The Rockets secured the victory despite several rounds coming in higher than their players' averages. Bay still maintained enough balance across the lineup to finish comfortably ahead of the Columbia Raiders, whose four-player team score totaled 232.

Playing on their home course in Avon Lake, the Rockets capitalized on Caroline Kousaie's best round of the season and kept the rest of their counting scores within a five-stroke range.

The result marked Bay's fourth dual-match victory and evened its season record through eight matches. With Caroline Kousaie setting the pace at 44 and Taulbee, Bowler and Fry completing the team score, the Rockets had enough depth to claim a 20-stroke home win.
