BAY_VILLAGE, Ohio - Bay High School defeated Valley Forge 6-0 on Monday, Oct. 5, at 29230 Wolf Rd, Bay Village, OH 44140, with Bay scoring a first-half hat trick to put the Rockets ahead. Bay scored three goals in each half and paired its six-goal attack with a defensive shutout.
Bay scored twice in the opening 15-minute segment, when the Rockets generated five shots, including three on target, and recorded one assist. A third goal followed in the 16-30-minute segment to complete the hat trick and extend Bay's lead to 3-0. The Rockets added another assist during that stretch and put two of their four shots on target.
Bay took two more shots without scoring in the 31-45-minute segment and carried its three-goal advantage into halftime. The Rockets finished the first half with 11 shots, five on target, two assists and five crosses. They held 54.5% possession and completed 151 of 196 passes, a reported 77% completion rate.
