Rockets Strike Early, Roll Past North Olmsted 7-0
NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio - Bay High School scored twice early and maintained its attacking pressure throughout a 7-0 conference victory over North Olmsted on Wednesday night. The quick start gave the Rockets control of the match, and they continued creating chances on a light, rainy evening in North Olmsted.
Issi Bruno led the balanced scoring effort with two goals. Madelyn Lee, Hannah Vegh, Ada Kurnisky, Lily Kazma and Aley Fetterman each added one goal, giving Bay six different scorers in the road victory. The variety of contributors helped the Rockets turn their early advantage into a decisive result without relying on a single attacking option.
Junior Alex Linsenmeyer directed much of the attack and finished with four assists. Linsenmeyer's distribution repeatedly put teammates in position to score, connecting Bay's buildup with its finishing in the attacking third. Her performance complemented the Rockets' balanced scoring and helped sustain the offensive production after the opening two goals.
Bay also completed the shutout at the other end of the field. The Rockets' defense kept North Olmsted off the scoreboard while the attack steadily expanded the margin, producing a complete conference performance. Even with the field affected by light rain and a game-time temperature of 73 degrees, Bay remained productive and finished with seven goals.
The Rockets return home to face Hudson High School at 1 p.m. EDT Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026. Bay will look to carry forward the combination of balanced scoring, creative passing and shutout defense that powered Wednesday's conference win.
