NIck Pacholski | Bay High School | Sep 16, 2026

AVON LAKE, Ohio - Bay High School secured a 208-214 victory over Wellington on senior night Tuesday, improving its dual match record to 7-6. The Rockets and Wellington remained close throughout the evening before Bay pulled ahead over the final two holes to earn the six-stroke win.

Caroline Kousaie led the Rockets with a 48, and Stella Turrall followed one stroke behind with a 49. Their two sub-50 rounds provided the foundation for Bay's team total in a match that was not decided until the closing stretch.

Seniors Annalise Crites and Ella Taulbee each finished with a 52. Crites delivered one of the match's biggest shots on the second hole, making a birdie from inside 2 feet. It marked the second consecutive day that Crites birdied No. 2.

Two other seniors completed their rounds with notable moments. Lydia Oldham carded a 56, while Mia Taber shot a 58 and recorded the first birdie of her career on No. 2. The birdies by Crites and Taber were the only two made by either team during the match.

The Rockets navigated partly cloudy conditions and a temperature of 81 degrees at the 5 p.m. start. With the senior-night victory complete, Bay turns its attention to the CWC Championship at Big Met on Thursday, Sept. 17. Competition is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
