PARMA, Ohio - Bay High School posted a team score of 448 against a difficult 27-team field Tuesday at the Flamingo Frenzy Tournament, cutting 30 strokes from its performance at the LEGGA Preview. Although the Rockets did not earn the team finish they wanted, a pair of 109s and multiple career-low rounds highlighted the day.

Senior Ella recorded a career-low score for 18 holes, shooting 109 to tie Caroline Kousaie for the Rockets’ best round of the tournament.

The Rockets’ progress continued with Sam Fry, who established another 18-hole career low with a 113. That round was three strokes better than her score at the LEGGA Preview one week earlier. Sam Fry was listed at 113 among Bay’s top finishers.

Sophomore Charlotte Hofelich completed the four counting scores with a 117 in her first tournament appearance. The Rockets’ counting rounds of 109, 109, 113 and 117 combined for the 448 team score.

Bay also received an improved round from Stella Turrall, who shot 121 and lowered her previous 18-hole tournament score by one stroke. The lower scores throughout the lineup gave the Rockets a measurable step forward from the LEGGA Preview, even as they competed in one of the larger fields on their schedule.
