Trusting the Process: Rockets Wrestling Shows Growth at the Rumble

The Bay Rockets turned in an impressive and resilient performance at the Rumble at the Reserve Wrestling Tournament on December 13, 2025, hosted by Western Reserve High School. Competing in a deep and competitive invitational field, the Rockets battled their way to a 4th-place team finish out of 15 schools, a strong statement of growth and determination as the season continues. The tournament featured several standout individual performances that helped propel Bay up the team standings. Max Prahl delivered a remarkable day, capturing championship titles at both 120 and 126 pounds, an outstanding double victory that set the tone for the team and showcased his dominance and consistency on the mat. The Rockets also saw Carter Baruxes earn a runner-up finish at 138, while Brock Kunes secured a hard-fought 3rd-place finish at 144. Additional podium contributions from Grady Frombach, Ben Wagner, Sebastian Maravi, and Jack Kinat highlighted the team’s depth, grit, and ability to compete across multiple weight classes, with each wrestler playing a critical role in the overall team success. Following the event, Coach Clarke expressed strong pride in the team’s response after a challenging start to the season. Emphasizing the group’s toughness and competitive mindset, he praised the wrestlers for believing in the process, pushing through adversity, and competing with confidence from the opening whistle to the final match. The performance served as a clear sign of progress and reinforced the team’s identity as a hardworking, resilient unit. The Rockets will look to carry this momentum forward as they prepare for their next competition at the Hudson Holiday Classic on December 19th & 20th, at Hudson High School. With a current season record of 0–1 and a top-five tournament finish already under their belt, the Rockets aims to continue building, improving, and turning strong performances into consistent success as the season unfolds.
