Beaumont built an early advantage, surging to a 13-3 halftime lead and going on to beat host Lakewood 17-10 on Thursday (April 23) night at Garfield Middle School in Lakewood.

The Blue Streaks did most of their damage early, then held off a fourth quarter push from Lakewood to secure the road win.

Freshman Brynn Fallon led Beaumont with seven goals on nine shots on goal. Bryn Safran added four goals and two assists, and Maeve Ginley scored three times with two assists as the Blue Streaks' attack controlled the first half.

Senior Hannah Passow recorded a goal and three assists, helping drive the offense as possessions turned into assisted chances.

Beaumont finished with 17 goals, nine assists and 30 shots on goal, showing efficient ball movement around the cage and enough finishing touch to create separation before the break.

The team also collected 19 ground balls, a sign of steady work on loose possessions that helped maintain control during key stretches.

With the early lead in place, Beaumont was able to absorb Lakewood's late scoring without letting the result come into doubt.

Beaumont is idle this weekend due to prom but will return to action on Tuesday (April 28) at home against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy.
