Buckeye girls roll past Columbia behind Reuter’s 394 series
MEDINA, Ohio — The Buckeye High School girls bowling team turned in a dominant home performance at AMF Medina Lanes, defeating Columbia 1,872-1,195 behind a series of steady scoring and a standout night from anchor Aubrey Reuter.
Reuter led all bowlers with a 394 series, posting games of 163 and 231 to pace the Bucks’ varsity lineup. Her 231 in the second game was the high game of the match and helped Buckeye pull away for good as the team built on an already comfortable advantage.
Buckeye’s depth was evident throughout the two regular games. Addison Fry added a 351 series on games of 139 and 212, while Riley Onyx was close behind at 349 with games of 183 and 166. LaRyssa Hartshorn contributed a 274 series, rolling 156 in the opener and 118 in the second game to round out the primary four-game block for the Bucks.
Supplementing the core scores, Leah Kaczmarski chipped in with a 118 game and Lily Woznicki added a 108, bolstering the overall pinfall and giving Buckeye a deep scoring lineup. The combined effort pushed the Bucks to a 1,872 total, far outdistancing Columbia’s 1,195.
Buckeye also controlled the Baker portion of the match, rolling games of 148 and 130. Strong execution in the Baker format, where five bowlers combine to complete a single game, helped the Bucks close the match decisively and maintain their large lead through the final frames.
The victory at AMF Medina Lanes gave the Bucks an emphatic result against Columbia and showcased multiple reliable scoring options behind Reuter’s match-high series. With several bowlers breaking the 200-mark in individual games and the team performing solidly in Bakers, Buckeye positioned itself well for the rest of its winter schedule.
