Buckeye girls roll past Westlake behind Reuter’s 404 series
The Buckeye High School girls varsity bowling team turned in a dominant performance on its home lanes, defeating Westlake 1,991-1,513 in a conference match at 201 Harding St. in Medina.
Buckeye built its advantage behind a balanced lineup and several standout individual series. Aubrey Reuter led all bowlers with a 404 series, posting games of 216 and 188 to pace the Bucks. Addison Fry provided a strong second score with a 381 series on games of 186 and 195, giving Buckeye a formidable one-two punch at the top of the lineup.
The depth behind the leaders helped turn the match into a runaway. Riley Onyx added a 316 series (178-138), while Leah Kaczmarski contributed a steady 299 series with back-to-back games of 149 and 150. LaRyssa Hartshorn rounded out the varsity scoring with a 284 series, improving from 119 in the first game to 165 in the second to help Buckeye extend its lead.
Buckeye also gained separation in the Baker games, where team coordination is critical. The Bucks rolled games of 182 and 125 in the Baker format to close out the match and push their final total to 1,991 pins, comfortably ahead of Westlake’s 1,513.
With multiple bowlers approaching or surpassing the 300-series mark and Reuter clearing 400, Buckeye showed both high-end scoring and consistency throughout the lineup. The performance sets a strong tone for the Bucks as they continue their varsity schedule and look to build on the momentum from this decisive home victory over Westlake.
