The Bucks men’s bowling team delivered one of its strongest efforts of the season on the road, rolling to a 2,302–2,090 victory over Olmsted Falls in boys varsity action Monday in Lorain. Powered by a pair of 200-plus team games and steady scoring throughout the lineup, the Bucks controlled the match and added a convincing junior varsity win as well, 1,732–1,384.

Senior anchor Alex Marconi set the tone for the varsity squad, leading all bowlers with a 476 series on games of 222 and 254. His high game of 254 was the standout individual performance of the match and helped give the Bucks a clear edge in total pinfall. Marconi’s second-game surge provided important separation as the Bucks pulled away from Olmsted Falls.

John Ambrose added key support with a 393 series, recording games of 191 and 202 to give the Bucks a strong one-two punch at the top of the lineup. Right behind them, Carter Fry turned in a consistent effort with a 192 and 193 for a 385 series, keeping pressure on Olmsted Falls by avoiding low games and filling frames. Kevin Miller rounded out the main scoring group with a 171–178 set for 349, helping the Bucks build a solid cushion through the traditional games.

Sean Chambers chipped in a 178 in his varsity appearance, while SAW added a 104 game to complete the team’s traditional scoring. The depth contributions complemented the high-end series from the front of the lineup, allowing the Bucks to maintain control even as Olmsted Falls looked to rally. By the end of the individual games, Buckeye had established a lead that would hold through the Baker portion of the match.

In Baker play, the Bucks continued their strong performance with games of 246 and 171. The 246 Baker game was one of the decisive segments of the match, as the team capitalized on clean frames and timely strikes to extend its advantage in total pins. The combined effort in both traditional and Baker formats pushed Buckeye past the 2,300-pin mark, while Olmsted Falls finished at 2,090.

The junior varsity boys followed the varsity’s lead with a dominant showing of their own, rolling a 1,732 total to Olmsted Falls’ 1,384. The JV group’s margin of victory mirrored the overall strength of the program on the lanes, giving Buckeye a clean sweep on the day.

With the road win and a pair of commanding team totals, the Bucks men’s bowling program continues to build momentum heading into the heart of its schedule. Behind high-end series from Marconi and consistent support throughout the lineup, Buckeye’s performance against Olmsted Falls highlighted the team’s depth, balance and potential for the remainder of the season.
