Bucks Place Fourth at Beauty and the Beast Invitational Behind Sejka’s Winning Bar Routine

John Myers | Buckeye High School Athletics | Jan 11, 2026

Buckeye High School’s Bucks women’s gymnastics team turned in a solid showing at the Beauty and the Beast meet at Findley High School on Saturday, finishing fourth with a team score of 134.15 behind a series of standout individual performances.

Leading the way for the Bucks was all-arounder Nevaeh Sejka, who captured the meet title on uneven bars with a 9.3 and finished second in the all-around with a 35.25. Sejka added a 9.0 on balance beam for eighth place and a 9.1 on floor exercise for seventh, giving Buckeye a consistent scoring presence on three events and anchoring the team’s overall total.

Buckeye also received key contributions on vault, where the Bucks placed two gymnasts in the top four. Miranda Pesto and Kora Seeley each scored an 8.4 to tie for fourth on the event, providing important early momentum and helping to keep the team in contention in a competitive field. Pesto’s effort on vault also fed into a strong all-around performance that placed her 10th with a 33.65.

Coach Ally
These girls improved so much today and we can’t wait to keep this momentum going!! I am proud of this team and love the energy they are bringing this season!

On the uneven bars, Sejka’s first-place 9.3 stood out as one of the top routines of the meet. Her score gave the Bucks a critical boost in one of the lineup’s most technical events and highlighted Buckeye’s potential for high scoring when routines are hit cleanly. The winning bar set, combined with her strong showings on beam and floor, underscored Sejka’s role as a reliable leader in the rotation order.

Beam and floor also proved to be steady events for Buckeye. Sejka’s 9.0 on beam placed her eighth, offering stability on an apparatus that often swings team standings. On floor, her 9.1 earned seventh, contributing another upper-tier finish to the Bucks’ lineup. Together, those routines helped balance out the team’s overall event profile and supported the 134.15 team total.

With a fourth-place finish, one event title and multiple top-10 placements, the Bucks demonstrated both depth and upward trajectory early in the season. As Buckeye continues through the schedule, performances like Sejka’s all-around effort and the strong vault scores from Pesto and Seeley provide a foundation the team can build on in pursuit of higher team totals and podium finishes at future meets.
