Bucks Volleyball Sweeps Valley Forge Thursday Night
Buckeye earned a 3-0 varsity victory over Valley Forge High School on Thursday, Sept. 3, winning 25-8, 25-19, 25-16 at Valley Forge High School Gym in Parma Heights, Ohio. The Bucks controlled the match from the opening set and maintained their advantage through each ensuing frame to complete the league sweep.
The Bucks established the tone with their most decisive set of the night, rolling to a 17-point victory in the opener. Valley Forge narrowed the margin in the second set, but Buckeye responded with a 25-19 win before closing the match with another strong performance in the third. The Bucks finished the match in three sets without allowing the contest to extend to a fourth.
Serving fueled Buckeye throughout the victory. Aurora Allen and Sammie Hart recorded five aces apiece, repeatedly applying pressure from behind the service line. Sammie Hart finished with 21 service points, providing the Bucks with sustained scoring opportunities and helping them build separation across the three sets.
Buckeye also received balanced production in its attack, setting and back-row defense. Erin Salazar led the offense with 12 kills. Aurora Allen and Kelsey Willis distributed 18 assists each, giving the Bucks multiple options as they worked through their rotations. Avery Lewandowski anchored the defensive effort with 18 digs, helping extend rallies and creating transition opportunities for the attack.
The junior varsity Bucks completed a sweep of their own against Valley Forge, winning in two sets, 25-12 and 25-14. Across both matches, Buckeye won all five sets played, with the varsity and junior varsity teams combining steady serving with decisive set finishes.
The varsity Bucks return to the road Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, for a 9 a.m. EDT Quad at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School.
