The Bucks Women’s Bowling team turned in a commanding road performance at Avon Lake on Monday, rolling to a 1,777-1,005 victory behind big individual sets from Addison Fry and Aubrey Reuter and steady scoring throughout the lineup. Strong traditional games and consistent Baker play allowed Buckeye to control the match from the opening frames.

Fry led all scorers with a 371 series, posting games of 203 and 168 to anchor the Bucks’ effort. Her 200-plus opener set the tone early as Buckeye established a sizable advantage in the first team game and never looked back. Reuter provided a strong second punch, finishing with a 354 series on games of 158 and 196, closing her set with one of the team’s highest single games of the day.

Buckeye’s depth proved to be the difference as multiple bowlers contributed solid, makeable scores. Leah Kaczmarski added a balanced 296 series, carding matching 148 games to give the Bucks reliable production in the middle of the lineup. LaRyssa Hartshorn chipped in a 254 series with games of 132 and 122, helping extend Buckeye’s lead as the traditional games progressed.

Rounding out the scoring, Riley Onyx rolled a 127 and Lily Woznicki added an 87 in their games, giving Buckeye additional pinfall that Avon Lake struggled to match. The combination of two high-end series at the top and consistent support throughout the roster pushed the Bucks well clear in total pins by the end of the second traditional game.

Buckeye then closed out the match with two solid Baker games, posting scores of 143 and 145. The back-to-back Baker efforts reflected clean frames and timely marks, allowing the Bucks to maintain their large cushion and finish off the 772-pin victory. With the team executing in both traditional and Baker formats, Avon Lake had little room to mount a comeback.

The 1,777-pin total gives Buckeye strong momentum as the season schedule continues to pick up. Behind Fry and Reuter’s leading series and balanced scoring from the rest of the rotation, the Bucks demonstrated a lineup capable of producing both high individual games and steady overall team scoring on the road.
