Cascade Blanks Dallas 7-0 Behind Five-Goal First Half

DALLAS, Ore. - Cascade High School struck five times in the first half and earned another clean sheet Thursday night, defeating the Dallas Dragons 7-0 to improve to 2-0 on the season. The Cougars set the tone in the opening five minutes when Joseph Burnell ripped a shot from outside the box, beginning an attacking surge that put Dallas under immediate pressure.
Julian Cabrera led Cascade's balanced attack with two goals and an assist, contributing to three of the Cougars' seven goals. Quique Alvarez added a goal and an assist as Cascade consistently turned possession into scoring opportunities during its five-goal first half.
The Cougars also received scoring from the back line. Defenders Spencer Moll and Joseph Burnell each found the net, giving Cascade goals from several areas of the formation. Those contributions, combined with the production from Julian Cabrera and Quique Alvarez, accounted for five of the team's seven goals.
Cascade carried a 5-0 advantage into halftime and added two more goals after the break. The Cougars' defensive shape held throughout the match, keeping Dallas off the scoreboard and completing another shutout as the team continued its unbeaten start.
Cascade will remain on the road for its next match, visiting Thurston at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10.
