Cascade Girls Soccer Blanks North Marion 4-0 in Commanding Road Victory

AURORA, Ore. - The Cascade Girls Soccer team paired a four-goal attack with a complete defensive performance Tuesday, Sept. 22, earning a 4-0 road victory over North Marion. The Cougars’ ability to keep the Huskies off the scoreboard made the attacking production decisive in the nonleague match.

Cascade controlled the result by consistently turning its opportunities into goals. The Cougars struck four times over the course of the match, building a comfortable advantage and maintaining their pressure rather than allowing North Marion to settle into a comeback.

The work at the other end was just as important. Cascade protected its lead with a team-wide defensive effort, denying the Huskies a goal and finishing with a clean sheet.

The shutout gave Cascade a decisive road win and demonstrated balance across the field. Scoring four goals provided breathing room, but holding North Marion scoreless ensured the Cougars remained in control through the final whistle. The match was played in partly cloudy conditions with a game-time temperature of 70 degrees.

Cascade now returns home to face Central at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, September 24th. The Cougars will look to carry forward the combination of finishing and disciplined defense that produced the 4-0 victory at North Marion.
