Cascade Boys Soccer Tops Taft 8-0 Behind Seth Lee’s Hat Trick
Cascade High School earned an 8-0 mercy-rule soccer victory over Taft on Thursday, with Seth Lee’s hat trick leading the attack. Four Cougars scored in the shutout win.
Seth Lee finished with three goals, the largest individual scoring total of the match. His hat trick accounted for more than a third of Cascade’s offense, while the Cougars also received goals from three other contributors rather than relying on a single scorer to supply the entire attack.
Liam Clausen supplied two goals and an assist, contributing both as a finisher and a provider. Trajan Merriman added one goal of his own with two assists. Those performances contributed to Cascade's dominating victory.

The combination gave Seth lee a direct role in three of the Cougars’ eight goals, matching Liam Clausen’s combined total of goals and assists. Together, they supplied all three of Cascade’s reported assists.
At the other end, Cascade held Taft scoreless to pair its eight-goal attack with a shutout. The final margin brought the match to a mercy-rule conclusion. The Cougars play Central/ Perrydale next Wednesday.
