Kade Lane Brings Confidence, Leadership and Joy to Cascade Volleyball

Kade Lane stands out the moment she steps on the volleyball court. The 6-foot-1 middle blocker combines a commanding presence at the net with confidence, leadership and an outgoing personality, giving Cascade High School a young player who already looks at home in the varsity lineup. Her love for the sport is easy to see, and the energy she carries helps make volleyball fun for those around her.

Only a sophomore, Lane is beginning her second year as a varsity athlete for the Cougars. Earning varsity experience as a freshman provided an early foundation, and she now enters another season as Cascade’s starting middle blocker. Her progression reflects the confidence and determination she brings to the position, where timing, awareness and a willingness to compete are essential.

Kade also gives the Cougars a strong and outgoing voice. Leadership can take many forms on a volleyball team, and her personality allows her to connect with teammates while bringing enthusiasm to practices and matches. Whether the team needs confidence in a tense moment or a burst of fun during the daily work of a season, she has the character to help lift the group.

That leadership also includes recognizing what others contribute. Kade Lane considers Macie Theis the glue of the team “because she has such high volleyball IQ and positive energy.” The answer offers a glimpse of Lane’s team-first perspective. There is plenty of room for Lane to continue growing, but her early varsity experience has already placed her on an exciting path.
