Molalla Tops Cascade 3-0 Despite Randall's Strong Goalkeeping

Molalla's ability to convert its opportunities proved a decisive Tuesday night as Cascade fell 3-0 in a non league endowment match. The Cougars generated several chances of their own but could not find the finishing touch against a strong Molalla varsity side.

Goalkeeper and captain Parker Randall helped Cascade remain within reach with an aggressive performance in front of goal. Randall repeatedly put herself in position to stop Molalla's attack, challenging plays and making difficult saves as the hosts applied pressure. Her willingness to sacrifice her body provided a steady last line of defense throughout the match.

Cascade's back line also received strong work from captain Bri Carroll and left wing back Hayden Cantrell. Carroll organized a young defensive group against a demanding opponent, while Cantrell controlled the left side with timely challenges and one-on-one defending. Their work limited additional damage and gave the Cougars opportunities to push forward.

The Cougars created chances through Emily Gill, Natalie Nunez, Payton Beeks and Halle Hammer. Each had an opportunity on goal, but Cascade was unable to turn those looks into a breakthrough. The score did not diminish the team's effort, as the Cougars continued competing and searching for a goal rather than allowing Molalla's advantage to halt their attack.

Cascade will remain on the road for its next match, visiting Tillamook at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 17th. The Cougars will look to build on Randall's goalkeeping, the defensive work of Carroll and Cantrell, and the scoring opportunities created by the attack.
