Volunteer Spotlight: Keeping Cascade Football Fed and Supported

For Cascade High School football, support comes with a meal and a steady commitment from volunteers who care for the team throughout the week. Rhiannon Noel is part of the Cascade football moms who put on dinners and lunches every Friday and Sunday. Those gatherings are part of a routine that also includes food before games and at every film session, with Rhiannon handling setup and providing food for the players.

Rhiannon coordinates all meals while balancing time with the team and the demands of running the coffee shop I-Jive. Together, those commitments account for 90% of Rhiannon's time. The support extends beyond the meal table. “She does everything for our team from fundraising to meals to hydration to pizzas after the game and she just takes care of us,” Grant hedrick said.

That work connects more than the high school team, reaching across Cascade's football programs. “She is the backbone to the family of our football program. She coordinates all meals and snacks and communicates with youth, middle and high school programs. Without her we would be a much different program meaning that we wouldn't be as strong as we are,” Shane Hedrick said.

Players and their parents express tremendous appreciation for the care that goes into keeping the team fed and supported.
