Clackamas Partners With KOIN 6 and uReport for Expanded School Coverage
We’re excited to announce that Clackamas High School is partnering with KOIN 6 and uReport as part of the regional KOIN 6 High School Sports Revolution starting this fall. uReport is a human-powered, AI-assisted storytelling platform for creating professional coverage of athletics, school events and student achievements. Our student reporters and authorized program staff will use the platform to share stories from across our school community.
The initiative will spotlight participating high schools across the area through expanded regional coverage. Plans include a daily high school sports show airing Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 7 p.m., year-round livestreaming of boys’ and girls’ sports and student reporter highlights on KOIN.com. Athlete of the Week recognition on KOIN 6 newscasts and student-athlete stories in a weekly newsletter reaching more than 50,000 subscribers will also highlight achievements among participating schools.
Regional coverage will also include opportunities for students from participating schools to be featured in KOIN 6 Sports segments, signing day coverage and an annual awards show with Sport Oregon. For our student reporters, using uReport will provide hands-on experience with AI-assisted journalism and the evolving role of AI in media. Their work will help bring our teams, students and school events to families and fans throughout the year.
uReport has been approved for inclusion in the ISTE+ASCD EdTech Index, a vetted resource used by educators to identify high-quality digital learning tools. ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) is a leading global organization that sets the standard for effective use of technology in education.
We’ll use uReport throughout the year to create and share expanded coverage of our students, teams, events and achievements. Make sure to follow us on social media and visit our uReport story library to see exciting expanded coverage from across our school community.
