Wolves Welcome Fr. Gabriel Richard Richard for 2026 Home Opener

Detroit Cristo Rey opens its home varsity boys soccer schedule against Fr. Gabriel Richard Richard at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Histroric Fort Wayne.

The home opener gives the Wolves an early opportunity to establish their identity in front of the Detroit Cristo Rey community.
A large junior core leads the Wolves as the group continues building a strong foundation for the program.
New head coach Justin Senkbeil will guide the team through its first home test of the 2026 season.
Detroit Cristo Rey’s organization, communication and defensive shape will be important against Fr. Gabriel Richard Richard.
The Wolves will look to set the tempo, compete for possession and turn promising attacks into quality scoring chances.
The matchup begins a quick turnaround before the Wolves visit Lumen Christi at 4 p.m. EDT Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026.

With a junior-led group and a new coach, the Wolves enter their home opener ready to take another step forward.
