Drury University Women's Rugby Triumphs in Second National 7s Game Against Niagara

In an exhilarating confrontation at the National 7s Collegiate Rugby Championship, the Drury University Women's Rugby team secured a vital victory against Niagara University on April 26, 2025. The Panthers finished with a score of 26-21, marking a significant win in the second game of the national tournament. The match began with a strong performance from Drury, establishing a halftime lead of 19-7. Key players for Drury included Amber Shetter, who expertly crossed the try line twice; Emmee Blair, contributing one try and two conversions; and Lauren Thomlinson, who also scored a try. Ally Lam supported the scoring efforts with a conversion, rounding out a solid team performance. This victory propels Drury into the next stage of the tournament, setting up a much-anticipated contest against Endicott College on April 27th, in the stadium of the Maryland Soccerplex. The Panthers look forward to continuing their winning momentum in pursuit of the championship title.
