November 16, 2024 HAVRE, Mont. - In a thrilling Frontier Conference Volleyball Championship Final held at the Armory Gym, the top-seed Providence Argos staged an impressive comeback to defeat the third seed Montana Western Bulldogs with a 3-2 scoreline Saturday evening. The intense face-off concluded, amidst roaring cheers from the home crowd, fully encapsulating the spirit of indoor volleyball at its finest. The match showcased a slow start for the Argos, losing the first two sets 19-25 and 18-25, respectively. However, the momentum drastically shifted in Providence's favor starting in the third set, where they narrowly clinched a victory with a 26-24 score. The fourth game saw the Argos dominate the court, securing a decisive 25-9 win, before finally sealing their triumph in the fifth set with a 15-11 score. This victory marked a significant turnaround, credited to stellar performances, particularly in the match's later stages.
