Carroll emerged victorious at the 2024 Frontier Conference Men's Cross Country Championship, clinching the top spot on November 6 at Amend Park in Billings, Mont. The Saints edged Rocky Mountain by just one point to secure their fourth consecutive Frontier Men's Cross Country conference title. The championship saw participation from several strong contenders including the #25 ranked Rocky Mountain and (RV) Carroll itself. Carroll secured the first place with an impressive team score of 32 and an average timing of 25:31.90, barely edging out Rocky Mountain who finished with a score of 33 and an average time of 25:37.60. Montana Tech, MSU-Northern, and Montana Western trailed behind, taking the third, fourth, and fifth positions respectively. Providence competed but ended the day incomplete. Individual performances were equally remarkable with Carroll's Zack Gacnik taking the first place in individual standings with a clock time of 24:54.40. His teammate, Oliver Morris, closely followed, securing the second place with a time of 25:11.70. Rocky Mountain's Corbyn Svec rounded out the top three, clocking in at 25:17.30. Carroll men's cross country team will return to the NAIA National Championship on Friday, Nov. 22, at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo., and represent the Frontier Conference. The NAIA national office will announce the at-large bids to the national cross country meet early next week.
