HELENA, Mont. - The Frontier Conference has selected Bellevue (Neb.) University to host our 2027 and 2028 women’s volleyball postseason tournaments. The conference’s top eight teams will compete for the tournament championship at BU Fieldhouse, Bellevue’s home facility.

Both tournaments will follow the Frontier Conference’s single-elimination format, with quarterfinal, semifinal and championship matches. BU Fieldhouse opened in 2025 and seats 1,000 spectators, providing a dedicated setting for teams and fans attending the annual postseason championship.

“Hosting the 2027 and 2028 Frontier Conference Volleyball Championships are a tremendous honor for Bellevue University and our community,” Bellevue Athletics Director Ed Lehotak said. “The BU Fieldhouse, which opened in 2025, seats 1,000 and provides the perfect atmosphere for a championship of this caliber. We're grateful for the opportunity and committed to delivering a first-rate championship for every team, coach, and fan who makes the trip to Bellevue.” Bellevue joined the Frontier Conference in 2025 and quickly established itself as one of the conference’s premier volleyball programs.

The postseason tournament determines one of the Frontier Conference’s two automatic qualifying berths to the NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Championship. The regular-season champion receives the conference’s first automatic berth, while the postseason tournament champion earns the second. If the regular-season champion also wins the tournament, the tournament runner-up will receive the second berth. Specific dates, match times and additional championship information for the 2027 and 2028 tournaments will be announced later.
